Mgr. Petr Maršálek, Attorney at Law, Partner
Petr Maršálek graduated from the Faculty of Law, Palacký University in Olomouc, the Law and Legal Science Program in 2005.
OFrom 1st July 2005, he worked as a trainee lawyer in Vsetín, focusing primarily on the issue of adversary proceedings, both in court and in arbitration, including defence of clients in court and with arbitration boards, as well as issues concerning labour services agencies and information technology law (also called “cyberlaw”).
On 16th September 2008, he completed his traineeship by passing the bar association exams and was listed in the register of lawyers providing legal services (general legal practice) on 16th October 2008.
Since 1st November 2009, he has been a founding partner in the Maršálek & Žíla Law Firm located in Vsetín, specialising in disputes for property, debt recovery and tax law.
During his practice, he has served as an ad hoc arbitrator and is an arbitrator registered in the consumer dispute registry of the Ministry of Justice.
Petr Maršálek is well experienced in corporation management and is a member of the statutory bodies of a number of companies across various sectors.

Mgr. Michal Žíla, Attorney at Law, Partner
Michal Žíla graduated from the Faculty of Law, Palacký University in Olomouc, the Law and Legal Science Program in 2005.
From 5th September 2005, he served as a trainee lawyer in a law firm in Lanškroun where he cooperated in the preparation of the contractual bases for, in particular, civil-law relations, documents serving to prepare and litigate civil-law and business-law cases in court; apart from that, he was concerned with corporate law, especially the establishment and changing of corporations and their ownership structures.
On 16th December 2008 he completed his traineeship by passing the bar association exams where he achieved the “Excellent” mark. On 1st March 2009 he was enlisted in the register of lawyers practicing general law.
Since 1st November 2009, he has been a co-founder of and partner in the Maršálek & Žíla Law Firm located in Vsetín, specialising in corporate law, corporate conversions and marital property. He authored many published technical articles on arbitration, marital property and corporate law.
During his practice, he worked on several high-profile acquisition projects and conversions of corporations, over the last three years amounting to a value in excess of 2.3 bn CZK.

Mgr. Jiří Kolínek, Head Attorney
Jiří Kolínek graduated from the Masaryk University Faculty of Law in Brno, the Law and Legal Science Program in 2012.
He has been a member of the Mgr. Petr Maršálek’s Law Firm team in Vsetín from 1st June 2009 in a paralegal position and then from 2nd July 2012 in the position of trainee attorney. (The Law firm was renamed on 1st November 2009 to the present Maršálek & Žíla Law Firm). Jiří Kolínek passed his bar association exams in April 2016 with the “Excellent” mark.
He specialises in privity of contract, consumer lending issues and insolvency law.
He has served as an ad hoc arbitrator and is an arbitrator registered in the consumer dispute registry of the Ministry of Justice.
He authored many published technical articles on civil law and business law privity of contract.

Mgr. Lucie Rázlová, Attorney at Law
Lucie Rázlová graduated from the Masaryk University Faculty of Law in Brno, the Law and Legal Science Program. From 12/2003 to 7/2005 she served as a law intern in the MacKenzie Law Firm seated in Winston-Salem, NC, USA, specialising mostly in immigration law, legal counselling for protection from domestic violence and the seeking of damage compensation in cases of medical malpractice. Under the leadership of Heather MacKenzie, Esq., she acquired experience with the functioning of a law firm in the international environment and representing clients from more than 90 countries of the world; she also became proficient in the use of the English language, both in written and oral forms.
From 11/2005 till 10/2013 she served as a clerk in the Legislative Legal Department of the Office for the Protection of Competition in Brno, later as the secretary to the highest appeals commission and clerk of the Second-Tier Decision Department. Among other things, she cooperated on the preparation of the draft law for the protection of competition and public procurement and was a member of the Cooperation Issues Work Group with the European Commission.
After returning to her native Valašsko region, she worked briefly as the clerk of Valašské Meziříčí Municipality Legal Department, specialising, among other things, in public procurement and funding project issues.
From 5/2015 she held the position of trainee attorney in the Maršálek & Žíla Law Firm with general practice, specialising in corporate law and law of contract. Since April 2019, after successfully passing the bar association exams, she started working as an attorney in the law firm.

Mgr. Karel Laža, trainee attorney
Karel Laža graduated from the Masaryk University Faculty of Law in Brno, the Law and Legal Science Program in 2013.
From 11th November 2013 to 30th November 2016, he was a clerk in the Land Survey and Registry Department of the Zlínský Region Land Registry, Valašské Meziříčí branch, with specialisation in determining questions of registration in the Land Registry.
He has worked in the Maršálek & Žíla Law Firm since 1st June 2014 as a lawyer and, subsequently, from 18th April 2017 as a trainee attorney, where he specialises, apart from general trainee attorney practice, in real estate rights and contract law in respect to real estate.

Mgr. Vendula Horáková, trainee attorney
Vendula Horáková graduated from the Masaryk University Faculty of Law in Brno, the Law and Legal Science Program in 2015.
From September 2012 to June 2015 she worked as a paralegal in the Maršálek & Žíla Law Firm, focusing on judicature research, preparation of legal analysis, lawsuits and motions to order distraint, as well as the writing of agreements and contracts.

Mgr. Kateřina Černíková, lawyer
Kateřina Černíková started her career with the Maršálek & Žíla Law Firm in July 2013 when she was still a student at the Masaryk University Faculty of Law in Brno, as a legal assistant specialised in judicature research, preparation of legal analysis, lawsuits and motions to order distraint, as well as the preparation of agreements and contracts.
Since June 2016, when she successfully completed her university studies, she has worked as a lawyer specialising in debt recovery, insurance claim recovery and employment law in the Maršálek & Žíla Law Firm.

Mgr. Ing. Robert Dostálek, lawyer
Robert Dostálek graduated from the University of Law, the Faculty of Law in Bratislava, the Law master’s degree program, the Masaryk University Faculty of Law in Brno, Legal Specialisation bachelor’s degree program, and the SPU Faculty of European Studies and Regional Development in Nitra, the Public Administration and Regional Development Program.
He acquired experience in the civil service where, among other things, he worked for more than 10 years at various organisational levels of the CR Customs Service (legal clerk, head of the Customs Service Legal Department, head of the Customs Directorate Tax Department, deputy director of the Customs Services) and, from 2009 he worked in a distinguished Zlín law firm with focus on general law practice.
Since 1st July 2013, he has worked as a lawyer in the Maršálek & Žíla Law Firm in Vsetín, at the law firm’s Holešov brach office. In the firm, he attends to civil law cases with emphasis on business corporations, contractual and civil relations and obligations. He is specialised in administrative law, the issues of environmental protection, administrative justice and administrative pains and penalties (administrative delict by legal entities and natural persons in various fields of administrative law). Furthermore, Robert Dostálek concentrates on procedural tax law and consumer tax issues, and mandatory labelling of alcohol.
He is an arbitrator of the Arbitration Court attached to the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic and also an arbitrator enlisted in the registry of arbitrators of the CR Ministry of Justice in respect to property disputes arising from consumer contracts and agreements.

Mgr. Miroslav Vorek, lawyer
Miroslav Vorek graduated from the Charles University Faculty of Law in Prague, the Law and Legal Science Program, in 2011.
From November 2011 to June 2015 and from February 2018 till now he has worked as a lawyer in the Maršálek & Žíla Law Firm, specialising in employment law. He cooperates with amateur sport clubs on resolving issues concerning the law of association and has authored many published technical articles on the topic of employment law and sports law.

Mgr. Ing. Jan Smilek
Jan Smilek graduated from the Charles University in Prague, the Law and Legal Science Program in 2019 and from the University of Economics in Prague, the Business Economics and Management Program in 2013.
From March 2013 to June 2018, he worked in the Equity Solutions Appraisals s.r.o institute, were he gradually held the positions of a valuation assistant, an analyst and a consultant. He specialised primarily in business valuations and insolvency agenda, with responsibilities for the elaboration of expert opinions for the purposes of major reorganisations in the Czech Republic.
In the autumn of 2018, he returned to the Maršálek & Žíla Law Firm where he had already worked as a legal assistant before 2012. At present, he works in the firm as a lawyer focusing on corporate law, relations of obligations and debt recovery.

Dominik Plšek is a student in his fifth year of the Masaryk University Faculty of Law in Brno, the Law and Legal Science Program.

Ondřej Grygar is a student in his third year of the Palacký University Faculty of Law in Olomouc, the Law and Legal Science Program.

The job of legal assistants (paralegals) comprises primarily: preparation of basic information for representation of clients in court, working with administrative authorities, drawing up lawsuits and electronic payment orders, motions to order distraint, registration of claims for insolvency proceedings, judicature research, legal analysis, other analytical tasks, and handling of uncomplicated administrative actions.
